Job Brief

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the organization to ensure efficiency, productivity, and alignment with company goals. This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership, and a hands-on approach to streamline processes, manage resources, and foster team collaboration. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management:

  • Plan, implement, and monitor day-to-day operations to ensure smooth functioning across departments.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues to minimize disruptions and ensure quality service delivery.

 

2. Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate operational teams to achieve performance goals.
  • Assign tasks, set deadlines, and monitor progress to ensure accountability.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.

 

3. Resource Management:

  • Oversee resource allocation, including manpower, materials, and budgets, to optimize productivity.
  • Monitor financial data and operational expenses to ensure alignment with budgetary goals.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers for cost-effective solutions.

 

4. Process Improvement:

  • Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement or automation.
  • Implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor performance metrics and develop strategies to achieve operational excellence.

 

5. Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure operations comply with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate operational risks.

 

6. Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and insights.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with stakeholders to address concerns and provide updates.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of operational principles, systems, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent in preparing power point presentations and delivering them.
  • Proficient in using project management and operations software tools.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Open to work in multiple time zones

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IT Industry-specific experience.
  • Certification in Operations Management (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean Management).

Work Environment:

  • Full-time position, with occasional travel depending on operational needs.
  • Onsite
